What happens at a dinner party that upsets Paige the week she discovers she is pregnant?

Over dinner, a doctor asks Paige what she does for a living. Since Nicholas does not want her to tell the truth, Paige hesitates in her answer. Finally, she makes a flippant remark about breaking hearts so her husband can mend them. Amused, the man asks Nicholas where he found Paige and Nicholas replies waiting tables. Paige is so upset by Nicholas' response, she excuses herself to hide in the bathroom. Once there, Paige is sick. When she is able to leave the restroom, Paige asks Nicholas to take her home.
