How does Paige meet Jake, who eventually becomes her boyfriend in Chicago?

After the May Queen parade, Pricilla and Paige tell their parents they are spending the night at each other's house. The girls then meet up with Pricilla's boyfriend and a boy named Jake. They go to Burger King for dinner and then to the drive-in movie. Things quickly become uncomfortable when Pricilla and her boyfriend have sex in the front seat. Jake takes Paige out of the car and apologizes for the situation to her. Jake then kisses her forehead, promising he would never put that kind of pressure on her.
