What do you think is Albus's true objective in using the Time-Turner in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child?

Albus wants to take the Time-Turner and save Cedric from his death in the Triwizard Tournament in order to prove himself. He believes that by righting a wrong committed by his father, he will gain respect among his peers and teachers.
