Importance of stories.

Stories represent the moments in time that are special, scary, life-changing, or funny in everyone's life. They are the shared history of a people like the Lenape Indians who once lived in the New York City area or even poems that reflect like in a new place or fondly remember an old homeland. Stories are how people capture their memories to hold on to them. Haley believes that life is stories on top of stories and that the ending of one story is the beginning of another one.
