Laertes wants revenge toward Hamlet for Hamlet's treatment of Ophelia and decides with Claudius' help to challenge Hamlet to a duel. They will kill Hamlet by either using a sword that has not been dulled, using a sword laced with poison, and poison a cup of wine. One of these ways will dispatch with Hamlet.
