Who is Kelly from The Fall of Reach and what is their importance?

Kelly (Kelly 087) is one of the children that is chosen to train as a Spartan. John believes that having a girl on the team is going to slow them down and potentially cause them to lose. Kelly, however, is extremely fast and accurate. Kelly continues on as a Spartan, and she is often used in training missions and real missions because of her agility and speed.
