What did Steelkilt's followers decide to do upon their release?

Steelkilt's followers agreed among themselves that they would obey all orders, maintain strictly the peace aboard ship, and when they reached port, desert all together. They also decided not to sing out upon sighting a whale, so the trip would be shorter and less productive.
