Why does Mister scratch Harry's face to wake him up, in Chapter 17?

Bob is still shadowing Mister, Harry's cat and Bob makes Mister scratch Harry to wake him up. Bob knows that Harry is getting attacked by the Nightmare in his sleep and that if he doesn't wake up, he could die in life.
