John After is the police officer that arrests Tiffany and Meg on the train bridge. He is also the officer that Meg has to ride with during her week of punishment. Tiffany realizes that Officer After is John After, a boy that went to their high school the previous year. It turns out that John is 19 years old. He was on the track team in high school and scored the highest in school on his ACTs. Meg tries to figure out why he didn't go away to college, but instead stayed to become a police officer. It turns out that he stayed because his brother and his brother's girlfriend were killed on the train bridge. John is tall. He was thinner in high school. After graduating from the police academy, John bulked up so he is now more muscular. He is short blonde hair and hazel eyes. During the week Meg spends with him, John falls in love with her too.
