Importance of Loray

Loray is a demon trapped in Mérida who tells Casiopea and Hun-Kamé the location of the lost pieces of Hun-Kamé’s body. While Loray is willing to help Hun-Kamé, he tells Casiopea that she can cut off her hand (continuing Hun-Kamé’s bone shard) at any time to severe the link and weaken him. At the end of the novel, Loray is sent by Hun-Kamé to give Casiopea expensive black pearls. Furthermore, Loray invites Casiopea on a journey throughout Middleworld, and she accepts his offer excited to have her freedom at last.
