Goddess of Yesterday
What differences does Anaxandra note between the island of Siphnos and Gythion, the central town square of Sparta in the novel, Goddess of Yesterday?
.
.
Unlike Siphnos, Anaxandra finds Gythion noisy and filled with action... something she likes. In addition, Anaxandra feels much less anxiety while in Gythion compared to Siphnos, and she loves seeing the markets filled with vendors selling food and other items, as well as colorful decoration and plentiful spots to sit in the shade. She also notes how the shops are all peppered with goods for sale rather than trade.
