What do Four Holy Stones represent?

The four holy stones in Ichulu symbolize faith. When Igbokwe learns of the impending storm, he worries that the holy stones are failing him. However, when Ijeoma is later searching the Evil Forest for Jekwu, she finds and touches the stones. Praying over them and trusting in the stones ultimately leads her to the baby.
