Glitch is narrated in the first person by the main character, Zoe. All events are seen through her eyes and experienced through her thoughts, which makes her an unreliable narrator because the reader is subject to any misunderstandings or incorrect assumptions on her part. All other characters are seen through Zoe's perceptions and the reader knows only what she thinks, sees and observes. Although unreliable, the author's selection of first-person narration gives the reader the opportunity to experience Zoe's emotions as she experiences them herself, thus making her a more relatable character.
