Who is Mrs. Fleming?

Mrs. Fleming is Diane’s mother. Ten years after Diane killed herself, Mrs. Fleming sent Kit a card telling her how Diane had told her that she had murdered her father but Mrs. Fleming did not believe her. She had thought that Diane was simply being dramatic again. Mrs. Fleming had refused to go to the police department with Diane and told her that she would just have to live with what she had done.
