Who is Kit’s Father?

Kit’s father is a low life who spent a good deal of time in jail. Kit remembers her father having jumped off her swing set in the backyard because she dared him to do so. When he drove his car through the yard in retaliation against Kit’s mother, he made a point to destroy the swing set.
