Who is Alex Shaffer?

Alex Shaffer is the man who works with Kit at Severin Lab that Kit believes flirts with her. He regularly brings her coffee in the morning. They often work late together. One evening after Diane has first come to work at Severin Lab, Kit agrees to go out drinking with Alex. During the course of the evening, Kit not only sleeps with Alex she also tells him that Diane is a cold-blooded killer.
