What is it like for Ghost to see Brandon Simmons again after their fight?

Brandon does not say anything to Ghost, and the other kids in the school snicker at Brandon for having been beaten up, but Ghost says that he does not want to see Brandon suffer too much, on account of having just suffered the embarrassment of the shoelaces and then the cut-off shoes.
