Glass Manor is where Ghost and his mother live, and is where Coach grew up. It is a place of sadness for Ghost, for it is where his father tried to kill both him and his mother. The tone does change depending on setting change.

Mr. Charles’s country store, for example, is the general/supermarket store where Mr. Charles works, and is the only real place Ghost feels safe. When Ghost’s father tried to kill him and his mother, it was to Mr. Charles’s store that they ran and were sheltered by Mr. Charles.
