Kevin Land is a 16-year-old boy. He is a star baseball player and one of the boys in the boys' locker room that is always ragging on boys like Russel about being gay. It turns out that Kevin is keeping a secret too. He is also gay.

When Kevin finds out that Russel is gay, they start to have secret rendezvous in the gazebo in the park. Russel also introduces Kevin to Min, Terese and Ike, so he helps to form the Geography Club. Kevin has an athletic body, is good looking and is one of the most popular kids in school.

Even though Kevin is always there for Russel in private, when rumors start to fly that Russel is gay. Kevin distances himself from Russel and their relationship.
