What is the personality of Genesis in the book of Genesis begins again?

Genesis has many qualities: her imagination, bravery, perceptiveness, sense of humor, and even sass. Despite her own heartaches, Genesis is also capable of much empathy for her parents, her peers, and the African American community: “I can’t help but wonder how it feels to be so bound up that you can’t be or do what you want” (72). The more positive and diverse environment at Farmington Oaks enables her to draw on her best traits. Under Mrs. Hill’s guidance, she develops her musical creativity. Thanks to the support of newfound friends, she learns to stand on her own and speak up for herself. With small victories at school, Genesis garners more strength. It is this new power that enables her to finally gain answers to the questions that have been tormenting her and to embrace who she really is: a human being capable of effecting change by starting with herself.
