Who does Pantagruel meet in Pantagruel: Chapter Nine?

Pantagruel meets a man who speaks with a Germanic tongue named Panurge near Abbeye de Saint-Antoine. Panurge changes his language to speak languages that each of Pantagruel's friends recognize, as well as the language of Utopia, Pantagruel's homeland. Panurge gladly agrees to tell Pantagruel and his friends of his adventures which are more wonderful than Ulysses'.
