What is Aurora?

Aurora is Petrona's younger sister. Vulnerable and sensitive, Petrona considers it her primary purpose to defend her (Aurora) and give her a better life. When danger threatens, Petrona offers herself to those who would threaten her sister. Later, Aurora helps her recover from sexual assault and an unexpected pregnancy, standing with her as she "re-marries" Garrion.
