What is the main setting in the novel, Front Desk?

The majority of the action of the novel is set on the grounds of the Calivista Motel. Mia spends a good deal of time in the front office where she helps her parents out by checking customers in so that they can clean rooms. It is in the front office that Mia is attacked by the drunk guy. It is also in the front office that Mia is confronted by the girl whose jeans Mia started wearing after they were left at the motel. Mia visits Hank’s room frequently during the novel to talk to him about situations she has encountered and ask his advice.
