Nonna's house is a family home in Aliminusa. It is where Saro was born and where his family has lived for decades. The house and its construction is reflective of the local way of life and has been adapted throughout the years to suit modern advances, such as the development of refrigeration. Nonna's house eventually becomes Tembi and Zoela's second home. Nonna decides to leave the house to Tembi and, eventually, Zoela, giving them both a physical place to return to in years to come so that they may always be connected to Aliminusa and to Saro. This gesture not only establishes Aliminusa firmly as their second home through the gift of property, but it also solidifies the family connection between Nonna and Tembi.
