Who is Ze'ev Chafets from From Beirut to Jerusalem and what is their importance?

Ze've Chafets is one if Friedman's friends. He was born in Detroit and immigrated to Israel. He introduced Friedman to the Rimon School of Jazz. Chafet believed that solidarity held the Jewish people together.
