Sipsey is the Threadgoode's long time cook. She is very attached to the family. In actuality, she would be considered a part of the family. Sipsey nursed Ruth throughout her illness (cancer), and gave her the lethal dose of morphine that ended her pain. She was also responsible for Frank Bennett's death.
