Describe symbolism in Freedom From Fear by Aung San Suu Kyi

Shwedagon Pagoda: Standing on a hilltop in Rangoon, it is the site of one of Aung San Suu Kyi's first political rallies. If a single building can serve as a country's symbol, this one is Burma's. Many popular legends surround the pagoda, including that it was built during the lifetime of the Buddha. Its name means "Golden Dragon."
