Jerusalem is the ancient capital of Israel, the location of the Jewish Temple, and today, a beautiful and flourishing city within the modern state of Israel. Jerusalem is a site of great and holy importance to both Jews and Christians. Jerusalem is prophesied by Jesus to be destroyed, along with the Temple. The Romans destroy Jerusalem and the Temple in 70 AD, and only comes back into full possession by Israel nineteen hundred years after its loss.
