Who is Wanda Seldon from Forward the Foundation and what is their importance?

Wanda Seldon is Hari Seldon's granddaughter. Wanda is the eldest child of Raych and Manella Seldon. Always a precocious child, Wanda at an early age reveals an ability to read minds, hearing during her grandfather's sixtieth birthday celebration about a plot to kill him. She still lacks the language skills to interpret what she hears, but is upset and reports it to her parents and grandmother, Dors Venabili. Dors figures it out, confronts and kills the would-be assassin, but herself also succumbs. Dors feels responsible.
