Tejan Popjens Lih is the judge who presides at Hari Seldon's and Stettin Palver's assault and battery trial, Lih is one of Trantor's leading judges. She demands that the hostile gallery come to order. A native of the Outer World of Lystena, Lih has a striking bluish complexion that darkens to purple when she is angry. She wears red robes to set it off. She knows Hari's reputation as a predictor of doom and his two previous claims of self-defense and wonders if he might be dramatizing his theory about the decay of civilization. She allows Hari to speak in his own defense before the alleged eyewitness, Rial Nevas, who admits to lying. Lih then dismisses the charges and thanks Hari for providing an old-fashioned example of honesty, decency, and good will.
