What is The Galactic Empire

The Galactic Empire consists of 25 million inhabited worlds, all colonized so long ago that no one remembers a time when all humans inhabit a single tiny planet. Some cultures memorialize a mythical "Aurora," while others remember an "Earth." The emblem of the Empire is the Spaceship and Sun. Its capital is the planet Trantor, a complex of 800 semi-autonomous sectors at the center of the Galaxy.
