Who is Jenny from the film, Forrest Gump?

Jenny is the young girl who allows Forrest to sit beside her on his first ride to school. Forrest is a bit strange, so no one else wants anything to do with him. Jenny is also an outcast because she comes from a bad home, and the two children become best friends. Jenny lives in a terrible home with a physically and sexually abusive father. When Jenny finally leaves home, she is determined never to return.

Jenny grows up and becomes a lost woman. She travels around the country trying new things, new men, and new drugs. When Forrest sees her, he always tries to rescue her, but Jenny doesn't want to be rescued: she simply wants to feel free.
