What is the main conflict in Fools Crow by James Welch?

Fools Crow is a native warrior and shaman in the Lone Eaters Blackfeet tribe found in 1870s Montana territory. Through his visions of the future he can foresee the increasing dangers of the ever encroaching white man who brings disease, destruction of all the animal life and finally military force.
