Follow Me to the Ground
What is the main setting in the novel, Follow Me to the Ground?
.
.
Most of the story takes place at the house where Ada and Father live. They live in a house in the woods, in an area that is semi-remote from the village. Villagers make appointments with them in order to come to the house and receive healing from Ada and Father. Father consistently worries that the villagers might eventually become fearful of him and Ada. Thus, Father limits their contact with villagers, aside from these appointments. However, this semi-reclusiveness ultimately seems to increase the villagers’ suspicions of Ada and Father. After Ada kills Father, she lives a completely reclusive life in the house.
