Sorrento’s is the name of the restaurant where Dan takes Annemarie for her fortieth birthday dinner. Dan’s surprise is ruined when Annemarie refuses to taste the soufflé in which her engagement ring is baked because she is on a diet. She leaves the restaurant angry with him and doubting that he ever intended to propose to her. Later, after the misunderstanding has been corrected, Dan and Annemarie celebrate their wedding reception at Sorrento’s.
