Why does Ambrose kill Blaze?

Ambrose kills Blaze, because he imagines his mother’s face and what she would say to him, if he let Blaze take all his money. He was a huge disappointment to his mother, so, in an instant in his bedroom, he decides he will show his mother that he did have a backbone.
