The narrator is bothered by the billboard that says, "Jesus loves even you" (329). In addition to making a statement about non-Christians, the billboard also appears to be depicting some of the world's stereotypes about travel and travelers. The adverb “even” (329) implies that frequent travelers must be more sinful or less lovable than the rest of the world's population.
