The narrator continues to experiment with her theme of two- vs three-dimensional space in the vignette entitled “Attempts at Travel Stereometry." By transforming the two-dimensional plane of the earth’s surface into a three-dimensional space, she links a traveler in an airplane with the stationary man on the ground and calls them neighbors.
