Comment on point of view

The novel utilizes a third-person omniscient narrator, which allows the narrative to examine the perspectives of several different characters. These characters include Raven Quickskill, Arthur Swille, Uncle Jacks, Abraham Lincoln, and Quaw Quaw Tralaralara. The narrative does not often explore perspective by directly conveying a character’s thoughts to the reader. Instead, the novel closely conveys the characters’ words and actions to give an impression of the characters’ internal truths. These multitudinous perspectives then coalesce into the overarching perspective of the narrative itself, which presents the narrative as a dramatization of the importance of freedom and artistic expression.
