What is the author's primary defense against the idea that A. Square hates women?

The author notes that A. Square himself admits that he now believes, as do those in Spaceland, that the women are more important than the intellectuals of any community. However, the author points out, A. Square was writing as a historian, and as such, followed previous patterns of writing, where women are rarely spoken of as historical figures of any consequence.
