Steven Spielberg always wanted to be a filmmaker. After graduating from college, he worked in television, and soon moved his way up to directing made-for-TV movies. One of his early films, "Duel," was released in Europe where it achieved great success. In America, he became famous for "Jaws," "Close Encounters of the Third Kind," "Raiders of the Lost Ark," and "E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial."
