Who is Abraham Lincoln from Flash for Freedom! and what is their importance?

The future President of the United States, appears here in the novel, Flash for Freedom, during his days as a Congressman. Lincoln and Flashy have two meetings, one in Washington D.C., the other is Portsmouth, Ohio. During their second meeting, Lincoln tells Flashy it is his duty to return to New Orleans and testify to what he knows about Spring and the Balliol College. He also proveds Flashy with a U.S. Marshall to accompany him on the trip for safety.
