Who is Deputy Shingleton from First Blood and what is their importance?

Shingleton is one of Teasle's deputies. Shingleton is present when Rambo panics during his haircut and kills Galt. Shingleton is then part of the search, bringing to Teasle supplies on the first morning and accompanying him into the woods. When Rambo ambushes the deputies and kills Orval, Shingleton is the only one brave enough to help Teasle care for Orval and carry him up the rise to avoid the rain created waterfall. Later, Shingleton is able to warn Teasle of Rambo's impending attack as Teasle finds himself the last man standing against Rambo. Shingleton is shot and killed.
