How is Humphrey described in the novel, Fingers?

Humphrey is described as a fifteen-year-old, who is easily manipulated and used by his parents. At the age of five he could play any piece of music, no matter how difficult. He was a child prodigy who was praised for his cuteness and talent; now he is an awkward teen-ager with a fading career.
