Who is Angus Austin from Fields of Fire and what is their importance?

Former Police Sargeant, Angus Austin began his tour in Vietnam as a Platoon Sargeant. Austin was proud of his duty as a Marine and professional in demeanor. He also expected others to perform their duty with the same sense of respect. His men, however, disagreed and resented his admonishments to dress in proper uniform and keep their appearances neat.
