Explain why Titus doesn't want to try and cheer Violet up when she cries in the hospital.

Titus thinks trying to cheer her up would be too difficult, and too much work, particularly without the feed. He notes that even with the feed trying to cheer someone is like brain surgery, but without it, it's like brain surgery with improper tools. Again, Titus is so used to the feed that he now finds real human interaction difficult.
