Explain why Loga and Calista are mean to Violet in 'The Real Thing'.

Loga and Calista are clearly jealous of Violet, and they often feel she makes them look stupid. She tends to use larger words, and often, the other girls do not understand much of what she says. In this chapter, Violet asks which riot their new clothing is modeled after, and what incited that riot. The girls do not even understand the word, and they make fun of Violet for her use of it.
