Feather Crowns
How does Christie find a source of closure in the novel, Feather Crowns?
.
.
Christie's trip to visit the Dionne quintuplets permits the character to finally release some heartache she's borne over the years due to her fantasizing about what might have been her own babies' fates, had they survived. The reference to the Dionne quintuplets, and the reader's knowledge of the heartbreaking conclusion to most of their lives, allows reader affirmation of the fact that science must sometimes be ignored, and emotion permitted to guide our actions and decisions.
