How does Bathsheba respond to Mr. Boldwood’s marriage proposal in Chapter 19?

Bathsheba responds that she does not love Mr. Boldwood and tries to play off the Valentine’s Day card as having been a joke. However, Mr. Boldwood persists and ultimately Bathsheba gives in, telling him she will consider his offer further, due to her feelings of guilt in the matter.
