Who is Maya?

Maya is a year younger than Grace and was adopted by a family of redheads. She resents her little sister Lauren, who was born shortly after she was adopted, and is a redhead like her parents. Grace feels like she does not fit in to her family, because she does not physically resemble them. In order to cope with her feelings, she uses sarcasm to prevent others from knowing how she truly feels. She also talks a lot when she is nervous, something that Grace notices and annoys her.
